Wellmark Blue Cross and Blue Shield offers flexible benefit designs, competitive prices, and a large selection of providers. Nearly all physicians and hospitals in Iowa and South Dakota participate with Wellmark, and the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association provides extensive national and international coverage. Focus OneSource has partnered with Wellmark Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association to provide comprehensive benefits to co-employees. Client companies will now have the choice of several medical plan design options that offer a wide range of deductibles, co-insurance and co-pays to fit each employees’ unique needs.

Life Insurance Offerings

The Standard provides insurance products that provide financial security to employees and loved ones. The company’s comprehensive line of life and disability insurance products include flexible short-term (STD) and long-term disability (LTD) coverage. In addition to Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D), Focus OneSource’s partner companies can tailor their employees’ coverage to meet the needs of today’s widely diverse workforce. Employees can also offer a basic life insurance amount of $15,000 with additional options to increase coverage.

Dental Insurance

Delta Dental is America’s largest and most experienced dental benefits carrier. Delta Dental offers national dental coverage with dental benefits programs for a wide range of employers, large and small, as well as individual dental coverage. Focus OneSource has partnered with Delta Dental to administer programs and reporting systems that provide co-employees with quality, cost-effective dental benefit programs and services.

Vision Insurance

Avesis for more than 35 years has offered one of the best values in vision benefits. Members benefit from having the freedom to choose from thousands of carefully selected providers in their nationwide network. Avesis contracts with optometrists, ophthalmologist and vision retail centers to ensure Focus OneSource employees have access to quality care in their neighborhood or surrounding area.. Avesis currently covers more than 3 million members through insurance companies, HMO’s and thousands of small, medium and large employers. Focus OneSource values the long-standing industry expertise of Avesis and as such has carefully selected the company to provide vision services to its valued co-employees. All insurance coverage is under a fully insured funding arrangement.

Health Reimbursement Arrangement Administration

A Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA), commonly known as a health reimbursement account, is an Internal Revenue Service approved, employer-funded, tax-advantaged employer health benefit plan that reimburses employees for out-of-pocket medical expenses and individual health insurance premiums. HRA’s can be a valuable tool in helping employers to reduce health insurance costs and has proven to be a benefit that helps attract and retain employees.

Health Savings Account Administration

A health savings account (HSA) is a tax-advantaged medical savings account available to employees who are enrolled in a high-deductible health plan (HDHP). The funds contributed to an account are not subject to federal income tax at the time of deposit. Contributions to HSA’s may be made by both the employer and the employee and all dollars in the HSA are owned by the employee, rollover year over year and are portable.

Flexible Spending Account Administration

A Flexible Spending Account (FSA) also known as a flexible spending arrangement is a special account that allows employees to put money in to pay for certain out-of-pocket health care costs. The money you elect to be withheld from your pay is made on a pretax basis which means don’t pay taxes on this money. This means you’ll save an amount equal to the taxes you would have paid on the money you set aside. Both Employers and employees can make contributions to a FSA subject to established limitations.

Employee Assistance Program

Focus OneSource partners with Connections, Inc. to provide employees and employers valuable support for managing the stresses of work and life. Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs) provide a confidential resource to help employees and their family members cope with a wide variety of issues on and off the job, including alcohol and drug abuse, overall mental well-being, marital/relationship issues, child/family issues, stress, dependent care, and more.

The EAP available through Focus OneSource also provides employers with tools and assistance in managing the workplace and troubled employees. EAPs are a proactive way for companies to extend a caring, helping hand while building a more productive workforce, reducing turnover and improving morale.
